We’re really on the countdown now – 2 weeks today, we’ll be on Day 1 of the Reiki Ramble!
So I thought I’d give a bit of an update:
- Work is hopefully starting on Val’s home adaptations next week!
- We have raised over £600 to date. (It could be more, as we are just feeding into Val’s existing fundraising page to save costs, so we don’t always know who has donated via the Reiki Ramble!)
- We are publicised on Ilkley Chat: https://www.ilkleychat.co.uk/post/walking-for-val-friends-turn-tragedy-into-action
- We are also the subject of an article in the Sheffield Star: https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/people/friends-rally-round-to-help-raise-cash-for-mum-left-paralysed-after-horror-crash-6574491
- I’ve been interviewed for the weekend news bulletins on BBC Radio Sheffield.
- Our Blog seems to have massively increased traffic:

We’re busy practising our walking – Marley was out with Tracey by the reservoir today:

I did a 6 mile Springtime walk this morning. How lucky was I to see the bluebells in all their glory, and the lambs up at West Moor House Farm! I also bumped into Claire with her group of Nordic walkers; she assured me she would be briefing them about the Reiki Ramble!

So things are happening, the Reiki Ramble is gaining traction and our fabulous team are all on track! THANK YOU to our walkers, publicity team, chauffeurs and Reiki providers and to the media who have promoted us. And a massive THANK YOU to you, our supporters, for reading and sharing the blog, and for your kind donations. Val is over the moon!
